Chairwoman Waters Announces Updates to June Schedule

Today, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), Chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, announced the following updates to the Committee schedule for the month of June.

Tuesday, June 11 at 10:00 AM – The Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will convene a hearing entitled, “An Examination of State Efforts to Oversee the $1.5 Trillion Student Loan Servicing Market.”

Tuesday, June 11 at 2:00 PM – The full Committee will convene for a markup.

Wednesday, June 12 at 10:00 AM – The full Committee will convene for a continuation of the June 11 markup.

Wednesday, June 19 at 10:00 AM – The Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy will convene a hearing entitled, “Slowing Economic Growth: The Impact of Recent Trade and Tax Policies on the U.S. Economy.”

Wednesday, June 19 at 2:00 PM – The Subcommittee on Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets will convene a hearing entitled, “Putting Investors First: Examining Proposals to Strengthen Enforcement Against Securities Law Violators.”

Thursday, June 20 at 10:00 AM – The full Committee will convene a hearing entitled, “Diversity in the Boardroom: Examining Proposals to Increase the Diversity of America’s Boards.”

Thursday, June 20 at 2:00 PM – The Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development and Insurance will convene a hearing entitled, “What’s Your Home Worth? A Review of the Appraisal Industry.”

NEW TIME: Tuesday, June 25 at 10:00 AM – The Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion will convene a hearing entitled, “Diverse Asset Managers: Challenges, Solutions and Opportunities for Inclusion.”

Tuesday, June 25 at 2:00 PM – The Task Force on Financial Technology will convene a hearing entitled, “Overseeing the Fintech Revolution: Domestic and International Perspectives on Fintech Regulation.”

NEW TIME: Wednesday, June 26 at 10:00 AM – The Task Force on Artificial Intelligence will convene a hearing entitled, “Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence: Where We Are and the Next Frontier in Financial Services.”

NEW ADDITION: Wednesday, June 26 at 12:30PM – The full Committee will convene for a markup.

POSTPONED: The full Committee will convene hearing entitled, “Examining Legislation to Protect Consumers and Small Business Owners from Abusive Debt Collection Practices," at a date to be determined.

Hearings and markups will take place in 2128 Rayburn House Office Building and will be broadcast live on /live/.
