Frank Requests Hearing on Alleged Misconduct by Ally Financial

Congressman Barney Frank today urged Financial Services Committee Chairman Spencer Bachus to hold a hearing on allegations of misconduct by Ally Financial in its dealings with homeowners.

In his letter to Mr. Bachus, Frank expressed his support for a request for a hearing on Ally Financial by Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley.  Yesterday, Coakley sent a letter to House Financial Services Committee Chairman Bachus and to Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Johnson, summarizing a complaint brought against Ally for practices in violation of Massachusetts law.
