Frank to Address the National Press Club

Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, will discuss the future of financial regulation at the National Press Club on Monday, July 27. In June, President Obama delivered to the country sweeping proposals to change financial regulatory system, and Chairman Frank’s committee will be largely responsible for enacting the President’s agenda.  Next week, the committee will markup one part of the president’s plan to ensure greater accountability and responsibility in the way executives are paid.  The House Financial Services Committee will take up other parts of the president’s plan after the August recess beginning in early September.  The event is open to the public.
