Diversity in the Boardroom

On Thursday, the House Financial Services Committee convened a full Committee hearing entitled, “Diversity in the Boardroom: Examining Proposals to Increase the Diversity of America’s Boards.”

This hearing is part of an ongoing effort by Committee Democrats to ensure diverse voices at decision-making tables throughout the country. See Chairwoman Waters’ opening statement here.

Committee Democrats have also offered legislative solutions to increase diversity data disclosures and require Federal Reserve banks to interview diverse candidates when filling vacant positions. See legislation below.
