Chairwoman Waters Announces April Hearings
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), Chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, announced several Committee hearings for the month of April.
Tuesday, April 2 at 10:00 AM – The full Committee will convene a hearing entitled, “The Fair Housing Act: Reviewing Efforts to Eliminate Discrimination and Promote Opportunity in Housing.”
Tuesday, April 2 at 2:00 PM – The Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development and Insurance will convene a hearing entitled, “The Affordable Housing Crisis in Rural America: Assessing the Federal Response.”
Wednesday, April 3 at 10:00 AM – The full Committee will convene a Member Day hearing entitled, “Member Day Hearing: Committee on Financial Services.”
Wednesday, April 3 at 2:00 PM – The Subcommittee on Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets will convene a hearing entitled, “Putting Investors First: Reviewing Proposals to Hold Executives Accountable.”
Tuesday, April 9 at 10:00 AM – The Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Financial Institutions will convene a hearing entitled, “The Community Reinvestment Act: Assessing the Law’s Impact on Discrimination and Redlining.”
Tuesday, April 9 at 2:00 PM – The full Committee will convene a hearing entitled, “The Annual Testimony of the Secretary of the Treasury on the State of the International Financial System.”
Wednesday, April 10 at 9:00 AM – The full Committee will convene a hearing entitled, “Holding Megabanks Accountable: A Review of Global Systemically Important Banks 10 years after the Financial Crisis.”
Hearings and markups will take place in 2128 Rayburn House Office Building and will be broadcast live on https://democrats-financialservices.house.gov/live/.
